Video #3 - Backmapping. Video was interesting. I liked the discussion of integrating the Common Core Standards as a way to combine the Art of teaching (with which we're comfortable) with the Science of teaching, an area where many of us need to become more adept.
Video #3. Good tips on how to practically approach the Common Core Standards. Basically, separate the standards out into what you already do well, what you need to improve on/cover in greater depth,and the standards that you're not currently covering and need to cover.
#2 Backmapping make complete sense. I feel at time we tend to other think the process and we let them impeded our ability to be the teachers we are capable of being in our classrooms. As I watched the video it made me think of curriculum maps and how you need to have the end in sight to make sure your map is set properly to your curriculum.
